Liugong Island
Liugong Island, located in the easternmost tip of Weihai Bay of Shandong Peninsula, is the first National Forest Park on the sea in China with an area of 3.15 square kilometers. Renowned as a natural oxygen bar due to its fresh air, it is an ideal summer resort for holidays and recuperation.In addition to its natural resources, Liugong Island, a popular leisure and tourism resort, also houses a great number of human landscapes, such as Museum of Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, Exhibition Hall of Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, Liugong Island Exposition Park, as well as Beiyang Navy Headquarters of Qing Dynasty, the Navy School, and the ancient forts. It is rated as a national key scenic spot, a national 5A tourist attractions, a national red tourism classic scenic spot, and a national patriotic education demonstration base.
