Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden
Founded in 1957, Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden is managed by Spice and Beverage Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Tropical Agriculture Sciences. It is located in Xinglong Tourist District, Wanning, southeast of Hainan Province,covering an area of 42 hectares. The Garden is mainly engaged in the research and development ofvanilla, black pepper, coffee, cacao and other typical tropical plants. After years of research and exploration, the integrated development model of “scientific research, product development and science demonstration” has been set up.
With a collection of over 2,300 tropical plants species, the Garden has now become a comprehensive botanical garden which combines scientific research, popular science, production, processing, sightseeing and germplasm resources conservation.
