Beijing Mentougou District Tourism Development Committee
Located in the west of Beijing, Mentougou District spans 1450 square kilometers, 98.5% of which is occupied by mountainous area.
Functionally defined as the ecological conservation and development area of Beijing, Mentougou District has accelerated the change of growth model in recent years, and vigorously developed high-end industries with tourism, leisure, and cultural industries as the lead and modern services and high-tech industries as the support. While dedicated to building a national ecological demonstration area, it also strives to make a modern waterfront mountainous city out of the district’s new center and a gallery of landscape painting out of the whole mountainous area.
The benevolent adore mountains and the wise adore water. Mountains and water can provide a channel to communicate with nature. Here, we have green and tranquil mountains, emerald and sinuous rivers, melodious Buddhist bell-ringing, as well as secluded ancient villages.
