The 2017 Beijing International Tourism Expo has concluded


On June 18th, the 2017 Beijing International Tourism Expo came to an end. The Beijing Tourism Expo has been extended for three days and has achieved fruitful results. Over a thousand exhibitors and invited buyers from more than 80 countries and regions, 28 provinces and autonomous regions in China, as well as the tourism industry, participated in the exhibition. More than 3600 buyer negotiation meetings, seminars, and special promotion activities were organized, with more than 40000 professional visitors attending. The amount of cooperation intention reached was about 6.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. The public day was extremely popular, with 150000 visitors and buyers participating in on-site sales activities. The buyer group agency received about 100000 orders, and sold a total of 110 million yuan in tourism products, a year-on-year increase of 18%.

This year's Beijing Tourism Expo has active market transactions, authoritative forum releases, broad open cooperation, and significant driving effects. The main characteristics are as follows:


One is closely centered around the national strategy of "Beijing Tianjin Hebei integration" and the functional positioning of the capital city. The exhibition has set up a dedicated exhibition area for the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, inviting the Tianjin Tourism Bureau and the Hebei Provincial Tourism Development Committee to participate. It has gathered more than 60 tourism agencies and enterprises from various districts in Hebei, Tianjin, and Beijing to promote the overall tourism resources and products of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, and showcase the achievements of the coordinated development of tourism in the region.


The second is to effectively promote the development of the inbound tourism market. During the preparation period of the exhibition, we increased our efforts to invite international buyers and invited more than 100 international buyers from major inbound tourist sources in Beijing, such as Europe and North America, to participate. During the exhibition, a special negotiation meeting was held between international buyers and domestic exhibitors. After 2500 rounds of negotiations, nearly 3 billion yuan in cooperation intentions were reached, providing a platform for international buyers and domestic exhibitors to achieve fast and substantial transactions. A seminar was held to promote inbound tourism, analyze policies related to inbound tourism, predict development trends to boost the inbound tourism market, and explore work ideas. Organize international buyer inspection activities to accurately promote Beijing's tourism resources.


The third is the continuous expansion of business areas. This exhibition has added special sections such as study tourism, elderly tourism, medical and health tourism, and outdoor leisure tourism, and for the first time introduced hotel and scenic area sales. The Beijing International Tourism Expo has gradually expanded from an early single tourism industry exhibition to a comprehensive exhibition that includes planning, investment and financing, media, culture, sports, medicine and other full chain and multi field activities.


The fourth is the comprehensive improvement of professional services. The organizing committee has launched a new OPSA system, which can effectively identify professional audiences, accurately match procurement needs, and improve negotiation effectiveness through system upgrades. We provide multiple value-added services for exhibitors and buyers, creating a favorable exhibition environment.
